Catacombs boss-and-extract runs
Use Activity Finder to enter Catacombs. Look for skull icons on the generated map to locate boss rooms, then use available exits to end a run safely.
Before you go
- Level 70 is recommended; the mode allows one to three players.
- Coordinate with teammates on how many bosses to attempt and who will watch for exits.
- Bring access to in-mode buffs and Golden Tinctures for corruption pressure.
Farming steps
- Start a run and reveal connected rooms while collecting Sterlings along the way.
- Check skull markers and locate keys or levers that open access to boss rooms.
- Collect useful buffs and clear enough enemies to reach the chosen encounter.
- Defeat the first boss, then reassess health, revives, and the remaining route before committing further.
- Continue to a second boss if the team is stable and wants the Crown opportunity.
- After each major reward, compare the next fight’s value with the rising difficulty and the treasure still at risk.
- When the group’s limit is reached, head to an exit; at least one player must extract safely to preserve the run’s rewards.
- Name a push limit before the run, then revise it only if the group is healthy and aligned.
- Do not confuse defeating a boss with banking loot; extraction completes the reward loop.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable, with room layouts and reward amounts varying by run. Most collected treasure is at risk until safe extraction.
Common mistakes
- Ignoring an available exit while low on resources: leave with value secured instead of gambling the whole haul.
- Entering a boss room without checking the path or key needs: explore deliberately and keep the team together.
- Assuming every teammate must escape: one successful party extraction is sufficient to secure the run.
When to stop or switch
Extract after securing the Crown threshold or sooner if health, revives, or group agreement make another boss a poor bet.
