Before you go
- Access to an early realm where Tier 1 Essence is available.
- Basic combat readiness for encounters you choose to complete.
- Spare items you can safely consume if using extraction.
Farming steps
- Open an early realm appropriate to your current progression and confirm its tier.
- Follow accessible paths and watch for wisps; collect their essence when you can reach them safely.
- Complete nearby encounters that you can handle, collecting the essence reward afterward.
- Return to inventory and identify genuinely surplus basic materials or gear.
- Use the item’s Essence extraction action only after checking that you will not need it for a recipe or repair.
- Collect the returned essence and keep it separate from other tiers.
- Spend Tier 1 Essence on immediate repair needs or early unlocks, prioritizing what unblocks the next useful activity.
- Realm tier affects the essence tier available, so stay in a low-tier realm for Tier 1 needs.
- Extraction consumes the selected item; use duplicates and obsolete gear before useful crafting stock.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat encounters and wisp collection while exploring; extraction can continue only while you have expendable items. Do not expect a depleted resource node to replenish just because you left the realm.

- Fighting beyond your gear: skip or retreat from encounters that are not manageable.
- Extracting an item needed for a recipe: check your crafting plans first.
