Encounter Essence Rewards
Encounters in a realm of the progression tier that supplies the Essence you need.
Before you go
- Access to a realm matching the target essence tier.
- Combat gear appropriate to the encounters you intend to attempt.
- A specific repair, recipe, or progression purchase to fund.
Farming steps
- Read the target’s essence cost and note the tier.
- Select a realm at that tier and prepare combat gear for its threats.
- Explore the map for an encounter you can reach safely.
- Start the encounter and complete its objective using the activity’s in-game prompts.
- Collect the essence reward and confirm its tier in inventory.
- Continue to another manageable encounter or gather nearby wisps if available.
- Return to the estate or progression interface and spend the accumulated essence.
- Skip encounters that exceed your current combat capability; a completed manageable activity is more useful than a failed risky attempt.
- Use the map and visible activity markers to avoid wandering after you already have enough currency.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat with other available encounters in the realm or on another trip. Each activity can be completed only while available; it is not an endlessly repeating source at one cleared location.
Common mistakes
- Entering a higher-tier encounter without suitable gear: choose an activity within your capability.
- Forgetting the target tier: confirm the essence reward meets the purchase requirement.
- Continuing after the purchase is funded: return with the currency instead of taking unnecessary risk.
When to stop or switch
Stop once the intended repair or unlock is funded, or switch to a lower-risk essence source if remaining encounters are too difficult.
