WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Eternal Rift hub, after completing The Hamamatsu Incident and defeating Jakotsu-baba.
The Blacksmith becomes available after the Hamamatsu Incident and the Jakotsu-baba encounter. Once unlocked, you can return to the Eternal Rift between missions to forge equipment and use available services. Soul Matching is a separate unlock with its own quest and item requirement, so access to the Blacksmith alone does not open every service.
Before you go Reach and complete The Hamamatsu Incident. Defeat Jakotsu-baba in that mission. Return to the Eternal Rift after the mission. Complete The Hamamatsu Incident and defeat Jakotsu-baba. Finish the mission and return to the Eternal Rift hub. Locate and interact with the newly available Blacksmith. Open the Forge menu and review which recipes are currently available. Gather the materials and Gold shown for a chosen item before forging. Return to the Blacksmith between missions to use the services you have unlocked. Farming tips Smithing Texts and mission completions expand the forgeable equipment list over time. Soul Matching has a separate gate; completing this story mission does not by itself unlock that service. Repeat, collect and use This is a one-time progression unlock per character; no farming loop is required. Visit the Blacksmith whenever you need its services.
Common mistakes Looking for the Blacksmith before completing the story gate: finish the mission and boss encounter first. Expecting every Forge recipe immediately: collect the relevant Smithing Text and complete associated unlocks. Assuming Soul Matching is already available: complete A Fierce Flame and obtain Kagutsuchi’s Magatama. When to stop or switch Stop once the Blacksmith is accessible at the Eternal Rift; proceed with the separate Soul Matching unlock only when you need it.
