- Have Yokai Teardrops to spend; Kappa are a documented source.
- Check the Sudama’s current memorandum stock and listed cost.
Farming steps
- Travel to the area outside the Hamamatsu Castle Crucible and locate the Sudama merchant.
- Open its shop and inspect the memorandums currently available.
- Choose the specific memorandum you need and note its displayed Teardrop cost.
- If you have enough Teardrops, buy the memorandum and verify it appears among your acquired items.
- If you are short, seek out Kappa in regions or missions you have unlocked and defeat them for possible Teardrop drops.
- Return to the Hamamatsu Castle Sudama and check your balance against the listed cost again.
- Purchase only the target item, then use the memorandum through its relevant progression menu.
- Kappa drops are not guaranteed; collect Teardrops as they appear and use the shop’s cost as your target.
- Compare the Hamamatsu Castle merchant’s stock with the Eternal Rift Sudama if the memorandum you want is unavailable here.
Repeat, collect and use
The shop can be revisited to trade additional Teardrops for items it currently offers. Kappa hunting can be repeated, but neither a specific drop nor a particular shop stock is guaranteed.
