Unlock forge recipes by collecting Smithing Texts
Eternal Rift Blacksmith’s Forge menu for recipe checks and crafting; the named mission, side quest, or boss listed for the missing Smithing Text is its acquisition target.
Before you go
- Unlock the Eternal Rift and the Blacksmith.
- Choose a specific weapon or armor recipe to pursue.
- Unlock the mission or side quest associated with its Smithing Text.
Farming steps
- Visit the Blacksmith and open Forge to identify the equipment you want and check whether its recipe is available.
- For a missing recipe, find that exact item in the Smithing Text list and note its named source.
- Check whether the text is a listed mission completion reward or a boss drop; prioritize the completion route when it is specified.
- Travel to the named mission or side quest, or replay the named boss encounter, and complete the relevant activity.
- After claiming the reward or checking the boss results, return to the Eternal Rift.
- Open Forge again and confirm that the target equipment is now listed as craftable.
- Review the displayed material and Gold requirements; gather what is missing, then forge the item.
- A text unlocks its associated recipe; it does not guarantee particular forged stats or waive material costs.
- Check the Forge menu before farming so you do not repeat an activity for a recipe you already have.
Repeat, collect and use
A Smithing Text is a one-time recipe unlock. Boss sources may require repeated attempts because their text is a chance drop; mission completion rewards should not be farmed again after the recipe is confirmed.
Common mistakes
- Fighting an unrelated boss: target the exact source listed for the desired item.
- Repeating a first-clear mission reward after unlocking the recipe: verify the Forge menu first.
- Expecting the text to supply finished gear: collect the listed materials and Gold, then craft at the Blacksmith.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the target recipe appears in Forge. If it remains locked after a boss attempt, repeat that named encounter when practical; if its listed completion reward was claimed, switch to the next missing recipe.
