WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Oxygen

Red Oxygen plants and some hazardous flora on planetary surfaces; gas hotspots are a separate automated option.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Land in an area you can safely explore and open the Analysis Visor.
  2. Scan nearby flora and look for the Oxygen label or a red Oxygen marker.
  3. Approach the target and interact or use the Mining Beam according to the object’s prompt.
  4. For hazardous flora, remain at a safe distance and collect only if you can avoid its attack.
  5. Check the inventory stack and gather more marked plants nearby if you still need a reserve.
  6. Use Oxygen to refill life support or retain it for a recipe or refining combination you intend to make.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat whenever you encounter marked Oxygen sources. Plant availability varies by location, so this is a renewable opportunistic harvest rather than a fixed guaranteed route.

Common mistakes

  • Approaching a hazardous plant carelessly can cause damage; keep space between you and the plant while mining.
  • Spending all Oxygen on crafting can leave life support without a reserve; preserve enough for travel.
  • Assuming every red-looking plant yields Oxygen can lead to the wrong material; confirm the label first.

When to stop or switch

Stop when life support is replenished and you have enough Oxygen for the planned recipe or next excursion; continue harvesting if your reserve is still low.
