Before you go
- Plant blueprints for the crops in the target recipe.
- Bio-Dome or Hydroponic Trays with suitable growing conditions.
- Power if required by the selected structure.
- Access to the crafting interface or Nutrient Processor used by the target product.
Farming steps
- Open the in-game recipe information and choose one product you actually intend to craft.
- Record the crop inputs shown and check which plant seeds you have unlocked.
- Build or use planting structures for those inputs, indoors or in a matching outdoor biome.
- Plant the selected crops and let them grow; keep their inventories or storage organized by input.
- Harvest the required amount and verify each ingredient before combining anything.
- Process or craft the ingredients in the interface specified for that product.
- Collect the finished product and keep any remaining crop inputs for the next batch.
- A four-plant tray can accommodate several crop types where that structure is available; confirm its capacity in the build interface.
- Keep a reserve of recipe ingredients before selling or cooking surplus crops.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat for each product batch after the crops mature and the ingredients are collected. Crop production is ongoing, but growth and harvest depend on the planted stock.
Common mistakes
- Growing crops without checking the target recipe can leave you with unrelated ingredients; begin with the product’s listed inputs.
- Combining ingredients in the wrong interface may not produce the intended result; use the interface indicated for the recipe.
- Selling the full harvest can force another growing cycle before the next batch; reserve the needed quantities first.
When to stop or switch
Stop harvesting once you have the recipe inputs and a modest reserve for another batch; switch to a different crop chain only when a new product goal requires it.
