Where to farm

Unlocked herb patches, including Falador, Ardougne, Catherby and Morytania; add Hosidius, Troll Stronghold, Weiss, Farming Guild, Harmony Island or Varlamore as access allows.

Herb runs turn seeds into a stackable harvest with relatively little active time between visits. Patch access varies by quests, diaries and other unlocks, so build a route from places your account can reach. Each patch needs a growth cycle before it can be harvested again; output and market value vary.

How to farm

Before you go

  • Farming level for the herb seed you intend to plant and access to chosen patches.
  • Herb seeds, compost, spade and seed dibber.
  • Travel items for your route and inventory space for harvested herbs.
  1. Choose a herb and list patches you can reach, noting quest or diary gates.
  2. Visit each patch with seeds and tools; harvest a mature crop if one is ready.
  3. Use the tool leprechaun to note harvested herbs where available, then replant your chosen seed.
  4. Apply compost for crop support and check that planting is complete before leaving.
  5. Continue through the route and bank or retain the harvest according to your goal.
  6. Return after the growth cycle and repeat the harvest and replant circuit.

Farming tips

  • Start with reachable patches and add remote ones when their unlocks make the detour practical.
  • Use the route to gather herbs without assuming fixed profit; seed and herb prices change.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat after each crop growth cycle. A patch cannot be harvested again immediately, and the number of herbs varies.

Common mistakes

  • Visiting a patch you have not unlocked; verify access before planning the circuit.
  • Leaving without replanting or applying planned compost; check each patch before moving on.
  • Expecting fixed profit or yield; treat both as variable and judge the run by your current goal.

When to stop or switch

Stop when all ready patches are harvested and replanted, or when remaining destinations add more travel than the run is worth.
