Ascension Shards at the Archive Lobby
Ascension rocks on the south-west side of the Fractured Archive staging lobby beneath Lumbridge.
Before you go
- Completion of While Guthix Sleeps to reach the Archive area.
- A pickaxe and inventory space for shards.
- Time to gather while waiting for a party or preparing for a raid.
Farming steps
- Reach the Archive staging area and locate the Ascension rocks.
- Mine the rocks while waiting, watching for roots that retreat and resurface around them.
- Look for nearby sprites and click them when they appear to collect bonus shards.
- Check your inventory and bank shards when you need space or are ready to raid.
- Use the lobby bank and party board to move from gathering into your planned run.
- Treat the rocks as a waiting-time activity; do not delay a ready party to keep mining.
- Keep shards for their Archive-related uses; they do not replace raid completion rewards.
Repeat, collect and use
Gather during lobby visits whenever you have time. Collection is repeatable, but it does not guarantee raid uniques.
Common mistakes
- Walking away from a ready group to keep mining; stop when your party is assembled.
- Ignoring roots and sprites; keep an eye on the rocks for bonus opportunities.
- Confusing lobby shards with completion loot; raid for raid rewards.
When to stop or switch
Stop when your party is ready, your inventory is full or you have enough shards for the Archive use you intend to support.
