Unlocked tree patches across Gielinor, at locations your account can reach.
Before you go
- Farming level for the selected tree seed.
- Saplings and travel items for the tree patches you can access.
- A spade and tools needed to plant and harvest.
Farming steps
- Choose a tree seed appropriate to your Farming level and progression goal.
- Prepare saplings and list reachable tree patches, excluding destinations you have not unlocked.
- Visit each available patch and plant a sapling.
- Consider protection or payment where appropriate for the chosen tree and patch.
- Leave the trees to grow while doing other activities.
- Return after maturation, clear each tree for its Farming experience and prepare the patch for another planting if desired.
- Treat tree patches as a longer-interval routine; a harvest is not immediately repeatable.
- Add patches as access improves rather than delaying a run for locked destinations.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat after each planting matures. Each tree needs a growth cycle, limiting harvests at that patch during the interval.
Common mistakes
- Returning too soon; wait for the tree to mature before harvesting.
- Planting a seed above your Farming level; choose one you can use.
- Forgetting to decide on protection or payment; consider it before leaving the new planting.
When to stop or switch
Stop when all reachable matured trees are harvested and replanted, or when you have reached the experience goal for the run.
