Before you go

At a Crossroads, open the map and read the labels for available rooms.
Pick a Trove whose armor slot matches the gap you are trying to fill.
Follow the marked route and clear the room’s encounter.
Open the reward Trove and collect the gear.
Compare drops against equipped items, checking level, attributes, and Apocalypse third mods.
Keep useful upgrades or build alternatives; dismantle only gear you have reviewed.
At the next Crossroads, reassess the build gap and choose another Trove or progress toward the final encounter.

A Trove is a focused opportunity, not a guarantee of a specific rarity, set piece, or mod.
If the needed slot is already covered, take a different useful route instead of spending time on irrelevant drops.

Repeat across Trial runs: route to the slot you currently need and collect that Trove’s reward. Rewards are random within the slot focus.

Assuming every Trove offers the same slot: read the room label on the current map before choosing.
Expecting guaranteed Apocalypse Legendary gear: inspect drops and treat the room as a targeted chance.
Dismantling by slot alone: check attributes and the third mod first, since a non-upgrade can still suit another build.

Stop choosing a slot’s Troves once you have a suitable piece for that build; switch to another slot or focus on completing the Trial.
