WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Planted soil tiles in the Housing Plot garden.
Fertilizer is applied to individual soil tiles, one type at a time, and is consumed daily as crops grow. Build the cycle around the tiles you want treated and the crop’s growth duration, then revisit those tiles to keep coverage going. This is a repeatable garden-input routine: it requires stock for each treated tile and growth day. Fertilizer does not stack with crop neighbor buffs, so check the layout before spending supplies.
Have a supply of the fertilizer type that matches your crop goal.
Identify the crop tiles you plan to treat, including all tiles used by larger crops.
Check the crop’s growth duration in the game so you can plan the coverage period.
Choose the fertilizer effect you want for the planting, such as quality or harvest boost.
Walk the garden and count the tiles that should receive that treatment.
Check adjacent crops on those tiles; where a neighbor buff supplies the desired effect, reconsider spending fertilizer there.
Apply one fertilizer type to each selected tile.
Return to the garden during growth and check which treated tiles need another application.
Continue with the same type on each tile you are maintaining, accounting for daily consumption.
At harvest, note whether the coverage was worth its cost and adjust the treated tile count for the next planting.
Farming tips
Plan stock by tile and growth day so you can see whether your supply covers the intended cycle.
Choose between fertilizer and a matching neighbor buff for the same effect, since they do not stack.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the application checks for each crop cycle you choose to fertilize. The loop ends when the crop is harvested; fertilizer is consumed, so each new cycle needs fresh stock.
Common mistakes
Applying one dose and assuming it covers the whole growth period: revisit tiles because fertilizer is consumed daily.
Using multiple fertilizer types on a tile: select one type for that tile’s treatment.
Treating tiles without checking adjacency: a crop neighbor may already provide the desired effect, making fertilizer unnecessary.
When to stop or switch
Stop applying when the crop is harvested, when the planned coverage is complete, or when remaining stock is better saved for a later planting.
