WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Scarecrow Crop Protection

Raft crop deck, positioned to protect Crop Plots containing vegetables or flowers; flower plots must stay beside their Beehive when used for hive production.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Build crop plots in a location accessible for watering and harvest.
  2. Plant the vegetables or flowers you intend to grow and water them with fresh water.
  3. Place a Scarecrow where it protects the exposed crop area from seagulls.
  4. If the plot feeds a Beehive, keep the flower plot directly beside the hive while adding protection.
  5. Check the plot during regular raft upkeep and replace water as necessary.
  6. Harvest mature crops and replant with retained seeds when available.
  7. Adjust the protection placement if the plot remains exposed, keeping the hive relationship intact where applicable.

Repeat, collect and use

Protection is an ongoing setup, not a crop reward: keep the Scarecrow or roof in place while repeating the plant, water and harvest cycle.

Common mistakes

  • Placing a Scarecrow far from the crop area: position it to cover the plots you want protected.
  • Moving a flower plot away from its Beehive to make room: maintain direct adjacency for hive feeding.
  • Assuming protection replaces watering: continue supplying fresh water.

When to stop or switch

Keep protection while exposed crops are part of your farm; redesign or remove it only when the plots are covered another way or no longer planted.
