Deep Level Ice habitat research
Varmundt Biosphere Deep Level 1 Ice Field, accessed through Varmundt Mansion after the Abyss Research Manager's access guidance.
Before you go
- Base Level 250 or higher.
- Complete the mansion guidance needed to enter Deep Level 1.
- Bring combat supplies and equipment suited to the Ice Field's monsters and status effects.
Farming steps
- Speak to the Floor Manager and accept the Ice Field research assignment.
- Read the assigned target and objective before leaving the manager.
- Enter the Ice Field and hunt only the monsters needed for that assignment.
- Return to the designated research NPC when the objective is complete.
- Turn in Deep Layer 1 Research Data to the manager.
- Check which reputation services are now available and convert materials only for a defined upgrade goal.
- Deep Level disables movement items and movement skills; entry can also remove some buffs, so prepare before entering.
- Ice Field monsters include Water, Poison, and Holy elements. Adjust defensive and offensive choices to the assigned targets.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat available research assignments and turn-ins as the manager permits; this is an ongoing progression farm, not a one-time quest.
Common mistakes
- Confusing this with the level 240 base Biosphere daily; use the Deep Level Floor Manager for this route.
- Entering before stocking supplies, then finding movement tools disabled; prepare outside.
- Spending research materials before checking which reputation tier or conversion service your goal needs; verify the NPC options first.
When to stop or switch
Switch to another Deep Level research target when the Ice assignment is complete or your current reputation and material goal is met.
