WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
The relevant world-boss encounter in Campaign or a matching Adventure Mode roll; craft the resulting reward at McCabe in Ward 13.
An alternate boss reward depends on how the encounter ends. Treat the required action as part of the fight plan: identify the intended recipe, satisfy that boss’s condition, then take the resulting material to McCabe. Examples include damaging Singe’s tail or breaking Ent’s legs before finishing the boss; these are separate boss-specific methods, not a universal rule.
Find or join a Campaign or Adventure roll containing the target boss.
Know which alternate material and recipe you are pursuing.
Have the equipment needed to damage the relevant boss part or satisfy its encounter condition.
At Ward 13, check McCabe’s recipes to decide which boss reward you want.
Look up the target encounter’s alternate condition in the game’s available boss information before starting.
Roll or continue the appropriate world until the target encounter appears.
Enter the fight with the condition in mind; focus on the named part or action when the opportunity arises.
Complete the alternate condition before the boss is defeated.
Finish the encounter and collect its reward material.
Return to McCabe, confirm the material matches the recipe, and craft the reward when its other costs are covered.
Farming tips
Singe’s tail and Ent’s legs are examples; do not apply either method to a different boss.
If playing co-op, make sure the group knows which part or condition must be completed before the final damage.
Repeat, collect and use
The alternate material is tied to that encounter’s reward. For another attempt, find the boss in a new Campaign or Adventure roll; Adventure rerolls may be needed because encounters are randomized.
Common mistakes
Defeating the boss before completing its condition: keep the target part or action as the fight priority.
Assuming every alternate kill works alike: use the condition for the specific boss and reward.
Crafting without checking the material: verify McCabe’s recipe before spending time on the encounter.
When to stop or switch
Stop after McCabe confirms you have the desired alternate-reward recipe and you craft it; switch to another target if the boss roll lacks the encounter.
