WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Challenge log during a standard run, including ordinary stages and named hidden realms when the chosen objective requires one.
Lunar Coins persist after a run ends, and named challenges award fixed coin amounts when their conditions are met. For a practical farming plan, pick objectives that fit the run you are already playing: a teleporter milestone, a stage exploration task, or a survivor-specific condition you can pursue safely. Higher payout does not automatically mean better farming; the ten-coin challenges can require a much harder Monsoon clear, while some modest rewards ask for a narrower objective. Treat the challenge log as the source of the exact condition and verify completion there before ending a run.
Any survivor; select a named Lunar Coin challenge whose condition is visible in the logbook.
A run route and difficulty appropriate to the challenge condition.
For Bazaar purchases later, retain at least one Lunar Coin for a Newt Altar.
Open the challenge list before starting, and choose one objective that suits your survivor and desired run length.
Read the full condition, including survivor, difficulty, stage, and no-death clauses.
Start a run on the required survivor and difficulty; keep the challenge objective in mind while looting and clearing stages.
Complete the named condition exactly as written, such as clearing a specified teleporter event or reaching a required realm.
Check the challenge record for completion before you abandon the run or move on to another goal.
After the run, check your persistent Lunar Coin total and plan spending at a later Bazaar visit.
Farming tips
Choose several low-risk objectives over a difficult high-payout challenge when the goal is reliable coin progress.
Coins are not ordinary stage pickups; focus on challenge completion rather than searching the ground.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat with another uncompleted coin-awarding challenge. A completed achievement is generally a one-time reward, so this is a roster of distinct objectives rather than a repeatable payout from the same challenge.
Common mistakes
Assuming every challenge grants coins; check that the selected entry has a coin reward.
Treating a challenge’s payout as difficulty-scaled; the listed reward is fixed.
Ending the run before checking a conditional clause such as survivor, difficulty, or no-death requirement.
When to stop or switch
Stop pursuing a challenge once its record shows completion and its coin reward is counted; switch to another uncompleted objective or spend coins at the Bazaar.
