Before you go
- Have at least one Lunar Coin available when you find an altar.
- Search different stages and layouts for Newt Altars.
- Activate each altar before completing that stage’s teleporter event.
- Use the challenge record to track progress toward eight unique altars.
Farming steps
- Start a run and explore the generated stage for a Newt Altar before finishing the teleporter event.
- Check that you can spend one Lunar Coin, then activate the altar.
- Complete the teleporter event and enter the Blue Portal to reach the Bazaar Between Time.
- Continue the run or begin another, looking for an altar in a different layout.
- Activate new altars as you encounter them, keeping track of distinct discoveries in the challenge record.
- Repeat across runs until the challenge records eight unique Newt Altars.
- Confirm the named challenge completion and its Lunar Coin reward in the record.
- Budget one coin for each altar attempt; activating an altar opens the Bazaar route but does not itself pay coins.
- Explore the generated layout before starting the teleporter, since altar placement is not fixed.
Repeat, collect and use
Limited progression: the challenge requires eight unique Newt Altars and pays its achievement reward once. You can still visit altars afterward, but that does not repeat the challenge payout.
Common mistakes
- Activating the altar after completing the teleporter event; search and pay before the event ends.
- Assuming repeated visits to the same altar count as unique discoveries; seek distinct altars and track the challenge progress.
- Spending the last coin without considering the altar cost; reserve a coin if reaching the Bazaar is part of your plan.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the challenge record confirms completion and the coin reward is credited. Continue using altars only when you want the Bazaar route, not to repeat this challenge reward.
