Before you go
- Access to Risk of Rain 2 on PC and the Prismatic Trial menu.
- An available trial entry.
- An uncompleted trial-related challenge if seeking a permanent unlock; check the challenge record first.
Farming steps
- Open the Prismatic Trial menu and confirm that an entry is available before planning a run.
- Read the displayed survivor, environment, and trial conditions; note any restriction required by the challenge you intend to clear.
- Check the challenge record and choose one specific uncompleted trial-related objective, if applicable.
- Start the trial and assess the actual layout and threats as you encounter them; do not depend on a remembered route matching this setup.
- Use the supplied character and available pickups or interactables in ways that preserve the objective’s restrictions.
- Finish the trial and satisfy the named challenge condition during that same attempt.
- Review the challenge record to verify the reward or unlock registered.
- For a full-health condition, prioritize avoiding damage and hazards over optional fights; reaching the end alone may not qualify.
- Treat the trial’s displayed rules as authoritative for that attempt, since configurations can change.
Repeat, collect and use
You may attempt an available trial again, but a challenge unlock is a one-time reward. Pursue another uncompleted objective or wait until a trial entry is available for further attempts.
Common mistakes
- Assuming a trial is active: check the menu first, and defer this target when no entry is offered.
- Equating trial completion with challenge completion: track and meet the named condition as well.
- Repeating an already-cleared challenge for more rewards: confirm its record before starting and choose an uncompleted target.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the intended challenge is recorded as complete. If no trial is available, switch to another run objective and return when the menu offers one.
