Before you go
- Access to the village shops that stock your target crop.
- Funds for seed purchases.
- An open plot, Hoe and Sacred Umbrella for planting and care.
Farming steps
- Decide which crop you want and which village season suits it.
- Check Iroha’s Spring Village shop for spring seeds; use the local seasonal seed vendor in the other villages for its stock.
- Buy enough seed to begin a small planting, keeping some funds available for later replacements.
- Till field tiles, sow the seeds and water them as the crop grows.
- Harvest mature crops and inspect the drops for the same seed type you planted.
- Put returned seed aside before selling or using the crop, then buy replacements from the vendor if you need to expand.
- Keep a few seeds in storage when planning a request or a future planting cycle.
- Use harvest returns as a possible supplement, not a guaranteed source for every new field.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat whenever you need to start a crop or expand its patch. Harvest may return planted seed; shop purchases are the dependable way to replace a shortage.
Common mistakes
- Assuming all villages stock the same seeds: check the relevant local shop.
- Selling returned seed with the produce: sort the harvest before shipping.
- Buying a large batch before confirming the crop suits the village: match its preferred season first.
When to stop or switch
Stop buying once you have enough seed for the field you can maintain and a reserve for your next planned crop.
