Start with Sorrel in Amberfell; the quest leads through Havenhythe to Shuruk-Ba and the Crimson Throne.
Before you go
- Members access and completion of Secrets of Amberfell.
- 51 Crafting, 55 Herblore, 65 Mining and 60 Smithing.
- Combat supplies suitable for dangerous high-level enemies on the Shuruk-Ba approach.
Farming steps
- Confirm Secrets of Amberfell and all listed skill thresholds are complete.
- Speak to Sorrel in Amberfell to begin Heralds of Crimson.
- Follow the quest stages through Havenhythe, completing each objective before moving on.
- Prepare at Linbog Village bank before the dangerous Shuruk-Ba approach.
- Engage the high-level Strigoi cautiously and keep supplies ready for magic attacks.
- Continue through the story objectives to the Crimson Throne.
- Complete the quest and verify full Havenhythe and boss access.
- Bank and prepare at Linbog Village before the dangerous approach.
- The quest unlocks access; it does not replace the separate preparation needed for the duo endgame fight.
Repeat, collect and use
The quest is a one-time progression unlock. Repeatable Havenhythe activities and boss encounters become available after completion.
Common mistakes
- Starting below a skill gate: meet all listed levels before beginning.
- Approaching Shuruk-Ba without supplies: prepare at the bank before entering the dangerous section.
- Assuming quest completion completes boss farming: form a duo and prepare separately for the encounter.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the quest is complete and full access is confirmed; then choose a specific activity or boss goal rather than repeating quest stages.
