Before you go
- A Miner and a reachable Raw Quartz node.
- Unlock the processing recipe and machine you plan to use.
Farming steps
- Open the on-page resource map and filter for Raw Quartz.
- Inspect the listed node purities and select an accessible node.
- Place the correct Miner on the node and connect power.
- Move extracted ore by belt or vehicle to your factory.
- Use a Constructor for the Quartz Crystal or Silica recipe, or a Converter for the listed ore conversion recipes.
- For Cheap Silica, first obtain that optional alternate recipe unlock, then use its specified machine.
- Size extraction and transport around the chosen node's purity and the receiving machine demand.
- Avoid starting more processing lines than the node can feed.
Repeat, collect and use
Check miner output, transport, and processing demand; expand the chain at whichever stage limits the flow.
Common mistakes
- Searching for a manufactured Quartz Crystal deposit instead of Raw Quartz.
- Assuming the optional Cheap Silica recipe is available from the start.
When to stop or switch
Stop adding extraction or processing when the intended consumer has a dependable supply.
