Fuel acquisition
Use the on-page map filtered to Crude Oil to locate a node and inspect its purity and access. Install the appropriate oil extractor, then pipe Crude Oil to a Refinery set to the Fuel recipe. The map shows the standard layout.

Before you go
- Fuel recipe, Refinery, and the appropriate oil-extraction building.
- Crude Oil supply, plus separate handling for Fuel and Polymer Resin.
Farming steps
- Filter the on-page map for Crude Oil and inspect a node's purity and accessibility.
- Place the appropriate oil extractor on the selected node and connect its output.
- Pipe Crude Oil to a Refinery and select the Fuel recipe.
- Handle both outputs: 4 m³ Fuel and 3 Polymer Resin per recipe batch.
- Route Fuel to power generation or package it for vehicle or Jetpack use.
- At 100% clock, budget 60 m³ Crude Oil and an outlet for 30 Polymer Resin items per minute to make 40 m³ Fuel per minute.
- The standard-layout map shows 30 Crude Oil nodes and 18 well satellites with 3 well cores in extracted 1.2.3.1 game data.
Repeat, collect and use
Keep the oil supply and both Refinery output paths clear while Fuel production is needed.
Common mistakes
- Searching for Fuel at a resource node instead of refining Crude Oil.
- Blocking the Polymer Resin output and stalling the Refinery.
- Treating standard-layout map locations as a guarantee for a different map layout.
When to stop or switch
Stop when Fuel demand is met or the oil supply or Resin handling can no longer support production.
