Leaves acquisition
Collect vegetation around accessible land by hand or with a fueled Chainsaw. Expand your collection area when nearby patches are depleted.
Before you go
- Access to vegetation.
- Optional fueled Chainsaw for collection.
- A Biomass Burner, compatible vehicle, or Constructor if processing the leaves.
Farming steps
- Look for accessible vegetation in your current area.
- Collect leaves by hand, or fuel and use a Chainsaw where appropriate.
- Move to additional vegetation when the nearby supply is depleted.
- Carry leaves to a Biomass Burner or compatible vehicle if using them directly as fuel.
- Alternatively, feed leaves to a Constructor using the Biomass (Leaves) recipe if available.
- Check your fuel or Biomass stock and gather more when the supply runs low.
- Leaves can provide fuel directly, while conversion to Biomass gives another fuel form.
- Gather near the area where fuel is needed to reduce unnecessary hauling.
- A Chainsaw can speed collection, but it needs fuel to operate.
Repeat, collect and use
When a collection patch runs out, gather from other accessible vegetation rather than waiting for it to refill. Repeat as your fuel or processing needs require.
Common mistakes
- Treating a depleted patch as an unlimited renewable source.
- Leaving the Chainsaw unfueled when relying on it for collection.
- Assuming Leaves become Biomass without supplying them to the appropriate Constructor recipe.
When to stop or switch
Stop gathering when your intended burner, vehicle, or Biomass conversion buffer is full.
