WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Heat Sink acquisition

Build and power an Assembler after unlocking the Heat Sink recipe and machine. Feed it Alclad Aluminum Sheets and Copper Sheets; it does not come from a Heat Sink deposit. Default recipe uses 5 Alclad Aluminum Sheets and 3 Copper Sheets per batch, with one Heat Sink output. Alternate recipes listed for other products are optional unlocks and are not required to make a standard Heat Sink.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Unlock the Heat Sink recipe and build an Assembler with power.
  2. Arrange an Alclad Aluminum Sheet supply and route it to one input.
  3. Arrange a Copper Sheet supply and route it to the other input.
  4. Set the machine to Heat Sink and start it once both inputs are available.
  5. At 100% clock, plan for 37.5 Alclad Aluminum Sheets and 22.5 Copper Sheets consumed per minute, producing 7.5 Heat Sinks per minute.
  6. Route output to Plutonium Fuel Rod or Cooling System production as needed.
  7. Monitor downstream use and storage so the Assembler does not fill unnecessarily.

Repeat, collect and use

Keep producing while downstream machines consume Heat Sinks; match input rates to actual demand and the Assembler clock.

Common mistakes

  • Searching for a raw Heat Sink node instead of manufacturing the part.
  • Ignoring the Copper Sheet input or treating an optional alternate recipe as the default route.

When to stop or switch

Stop or underclock production when Heat Sink storage reaches your target or downstream demand falls; avoid accumulating stock that blocks more useful production.
