Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Choose a Bauxite site with water access and reserve space for the complete processing loop.
  2. Set up the Alumina Solution stage with Bauxite and water, and route its Silica output separately.
  3. Feed the solution into the Aluminum Scrap stage with its required Coal input.
  4. Connect the returned water from scrap production to a dedicated refinery route that can use it.
  5. Send useful silica back into the relevant aluminum production stage where the selected recipe needs it.
  6. Provide an outlet or managed storage for any silica or water that cannot be consumed by the current loop.
  7. Start the machines and watch for backed-up pipes, full belts, or idle production before increasing throughput.

Repeat, collect and use

Once built, the production loop runs continuously while inputs, power, and output capacity remain available. Collect Aluminum Scrap and subsequent products on their own routes; clear or consume byproducts to maintain flow.

Common mistakes

  • Sending all returned water into an already full system can stall production; route it to a dedicated consumer or manage the excess.
  • Ignoring Silica output can fill its belt and stop upstream machines; reuse it or provide a suitable outlet.
  • Scaling before observing the loop can hide a fluid bottleneck; run the line and inspect each stage first.

When to stop or switch

Stop expanding when the aluminum line runs without persistent blocked outputs and produces the amount required by the next factory stage. Increase capacity only after identifying the limiting input or output.
