WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Packaged Oil acquisition

Use the on-page resource map to find Crude Oil nodes in the standard layout. Inspect node purity and access, then build the correct extractor and route crude to a Packager. Crude Oil also has 18 well satellites with 3 well cores in extracted 1.2.3.1 game data; the map displays the standard layout.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Filter the on-page map for Crude Oil and inspect accessible nodes and their purity.
  2. Build the appropriate extractor on a Crude Oil node and connect its output to the Packager.
  3. Alternatively, extract Crude Oil from a well satellite using the required well core setup; do not treat a well as a resource node.
  4. Supply Empty Canisters to the Packager and select Packaged Oil.
  5. At 100% clock, each batch uses 2 m³ Crude Oil and 2 Empty Canisters and makes 2 items; the listed rate is 30 per minute.
  6. Route packaged output to vehicle fueling or transport; unpackage in a Packager to recover Crude Oil and Empty Canisters.

Repeat, collect and use

Keep crude and canisters flowing, clear packaged output, and return canisters after unpackaging.

Common mistakes

  • Searching for Packaged Oil on the map as though it were a resource node.
  • Confusing Crude Oil nodes with well satellites or assuming packaged oil is extracted directly.

When to stop or switch

Stop when transport or vehicle fuel demand is met, or when crude input should serve another production line.
