Spitter Remains acquisition
Explore for a Spitter, defeat it, and collect the dropped remains. Take them to the MAM for research, or use the unlocked Spitter Protein recipe in a Constructor or Craft Bench to make Alien Protein.
Before you go
- A Spitter to defeat and loot.
- The Spitter Protein recipe available for Alien Protein processing.
- A Constructor or Craft Bench for processing.
Farming steps
- Search for a Spitter while exploring and prepare for the encounter.
- Defeat the creature with your available equipment.
- Approach the drop and collect the Spitter Remains.
- Take the remains to the MAM if they are needed for research.
- To make Alien Protein, select the Spitter Protein recipe in a Constructor or Craft Bench.
- Use the Alien Protein in the inhaler recipe if that is your goal.
- Set aside remains for research first if MAM research is your immediate priority.
- Use the matching protein recipe for the creature remains you collected.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the encounter and loot collection when you need more remains and another Spitter is available.

- Searching for Spitter Remains on a resource node.
- Expecting remains without defeating and looting a Spitter.
When to stop or switch
Stop collecting once you have enough remains for the intended research or processing.
