Solid Biofuel acquisition
Unlock the default recipe and feed Biomass into a Constructor. At 100% clock, the listed rates are 120 Biomass and 60 Solid Biofuel per minute. Route the output to fuel storage or the Chainsaw supply you maintain.
Before you go
- Constructor and Solid Biofuel recipe unlocked.
- 8 Biomass per batch.
Farming steps
- Prepare Biomass and route it to the Constructor.
- Build and power the Constructor, then select Solid Biofuel.
- Connect the Biomass input and confirm the machine receives it.
- Collect the Solid Biofuel from the output or belt it to a storage container.
- Use it to supply the Chainsaw or another intended fuel reserve.
- Adjust Biomass processing to match the rate at which fuel is consumed.
- At 100% clock, one Constructor processes 120 Biomass per minute, so make sure upstream conversion can keep pace.
- The recipe lists 4 Solid Biofuel per batch, useful for estimating storage needs.
- Biomass is the direct input to this recipe; Solid Biofuel is not gathered from a node.
Repeat, collect and use
Keep converting while Biomass is available and the fuel reserve is below its target.
Common mistakes
- Looking for Solid Biofuel on the ground instead of making it from Biomass.
- Assuming stored fuel will refill itself after the Biomass input runs out.
When to stop or switch
Stop or throttle the Constructor when the fuel reserve is full or Biomass is needed for another purpose.
