Fabric
Fabric is a manufactured material used in equipment recipes such as the Gas Mask, Hazmat Suit, Parachute, and Gas Filter.
WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Fabric acquisition
Use an Assembler or the Equipment Workshop for the default recipe. The alternate Polyester Fabric recipe uses a Refinery.
Before you go
- Fabric recipe and either an Assembler or Equipment Workshop access.
- Default recipe: 1 Mycelia and 5 Biomass for 1 Fabric.
- Alternate recipe, if unlocked: 1 Polymer Resin and 1 m³ Water for 1 Fabric.
Farming steps
- Gather Mycelia by hand from small patches or use a Chainsaw on large supported fungal vegetation.
- Prepare Biomass from an available recipe or gather it from your existing supply.
- Select the Fabric recipe in an Assembler and supply 1 Mycelia plus 5 Biomass per batch.
- Alternatively, craft Fabric in the Equipment Workshop using the default ingredients.
- If the alternate recipe is unlocked, select it in a Refinery and connect Polymer Resin and Water.
- The default Assembler recipe’s listed rate is 15 Fabric per minute at 100% clock.
- Use the alternate only if it is unlocked and its Polymer Resin and Water feeds are ready.
Repeat, collect and use
Continue with the selected recipe while you need Fabric, maintaining the matching inputs.
Common mistakes
- Searching for a Fabric deposit instead of crafting it.
- Confusing the default Mycelia and Biomass inputs with the alternate Polyester Fabric inputs.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have enough Fabric for your equipment plans or the chosen recipe’s inputs run short.
