Before you go
- A Bauxite node and a Miner.
- Power and transport for the extracted ore.
- A Refinery and the Alumina Solution recipe for the standard aluminum path.
Farming steps
- Open the map and locate Bauxite nodes in your world.
- Inspect the available nodes and choose one that suits your factory location and output needs.
- Build a Miner on the node and connect it to power.
- Run belts or other transport from the Miner to storage or processing.
- For aluminum, feed the ore into a Refinery running the Alumina Solution recipe.
- Check your world settings and map before committing to a long belt route.
- Keep Converter uses separate from the standard Alumina Solution line.
Repeat, collect and use
Mine and transport Bauxite while your aluminum or other selected production lines need it; expand extraction when demand exceeds supply.
Common mistakes
- Do not expect a Miner to produce Alumina Solution directly; it extracts Bauxite ore.
- Do not assume the standard node layout applies unchanged when resource placement or purity is randomized.
When to stop or switch
Throttle or stop extraction when storage is full or downstream machines no longer need Bauxite.
