Before you go
- Access to the region containing the target Gordo.
- Food matching its diet, confirmed through the Slimepedia or nearby slime type.
- Enough carrying capacity for the food and any reward you intend to collect.
Farming steps
- Choose a Gordo that blocks or overlooks a route relevant to your current exploration.
- Identify its diet and gather food it accepts; use its favorite food when practical.
- Travel to the Gordo’s location with the food in your Vacpack.
- Feed it repeatedly, watching its response and continuing with compatible food.
- When it bursts, inspect the cleared spot for visible crates, a key, or an opened route.
- Collect the reward that is actually present and use any revealed shortcut or teleporter.
- Record the newly accessible destination as an option for later resource trips.
- A favorite food counts more toward a Gordo’s appetite, so prioritize it when you can supply it.
- Inspect the specific Gordo’s result; reward types vary, and a key is not universal.
Repeat, collect and use
Bursting a Gordo and claiming its local reward is a one-time activity. Other Gordos provide separate one-time progression opportunities.
Common mistakes
- Bringing food the Gordo does not eat; check its diet before the trip.
- Expecting every Gordo to yield a key; inspect the actual reward and route outcome.
- Leaving without checking what changed; look for the newly revealed passage or item.
When to stop or switch
Stop feeding once the Gordo bursts and switch to using the route or collecting the reward that appeared.
