Before you go
- Combat gear appropriate for Vipers.
- Inventory space for Snake Skin and other loot.
- Tannery access if Snake Leather is the actual recipe target.
Farming steps
- Check the recipe and distinguish Snake Skin from Snake Leather before packing.
- Travel to Amber Valleys and use the southern approach toward Sarnak’s shrine described for the route.
- Search the region for Vipers, using the creature habitat listing to identify the target.
- Defeat a Viper and collect its loot, checking specifically for Snake Skin.
- Repeat only while the target material is still needed; avoid detouring toward the Aetherin city approach unless geared for it.
- Return to base with the raw hides and place them in storage near the Tannery.
- If the recipe requires Snake Leather, process the collected skin at the Tannery and retrieve the finished material.
- The region also lists other dangerous creatures, so keep the hunt focused on Vipers.
- Collect additional Viper drops only when your planned recipe uses them.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat Viper hunts for further Snake Skin as needed. Drop quantities are not guaranteed; the route is a creature hunt, not a fixed-yield farm.
