Operative profile > Personal Story, then Fight > Personal File for the same operative.
Before you go
- The operative is owned.
- A Personal Story or Personal File entry is available for that operative.
- Memory Chips are available if you intend to run the shard stage.
Farming steps
- Open the new operative’s profile and look for a Personal Story entry.
- If the story is available, complete its accessible content and collect any displayed completion reward.
- Return to the operative profile and review the unit’s current progression needs.
- Open Fight > Personal File and select the same operative.
- Check whether its shard route is unlocked and currently available.
- If available and useful, spend Memory Chips on the shard stage and complete it.
- Collect the result and confirm the shards appear on the operative’s progression screen.
- Story completion and shard-stage access are separate checks; verify each in its own menu.
- Prioritize shards only if you expect to invest in the new operative.
Repeat, collect and use
Personal Story completion is one-time per available story; Personal File shard runs can repeat only when the menu offers an entry and Memory Chips are available.
Common mistakes
- Assuming every new unit has an open story: check the profile’s actual entry.
- Treating story rewards as recurring: story completion is not the shard farming loop.
- Spending chips on a unit you will not build: choose a clear progression target first.
When to stop or switch
Stop after completing available story content and either establishing the file route or confirming that no shard run is currently available.
