Before you go
- Cotton Seed and an available Farmland plot.
- Water and fertilizer matching the Cotton plot’s displayed requirements.
- A Granary with an assigned worker for automated tending.
- Storage for harvested Cotton and a separate seed reserve.
Farming steps
- Obtain Cotton Seed and reserve enough to establish the plot.
- Place Farmland within the Granary’s work area and select Cotton.
- Check the plot display for required fertilizer and water.
- Put those inputs in the Granary if using automated tending.
- Assign a tribesman to the Granary and ensure the plot is reachable.
- Check supplies and storage space so tending and collection can continue.
- Collect Cotton from the plot or Granary storage, keeping seed apart from bulk output.
- Reserve planting seed before moving Cotton into general storage.
- Read the plot requirements instead of copying another crop’s fertilizer setup.
Repeat, collect and use
Replant from your reserved Cotton Seed and repeat collection while inputs, worker availability, and storage permit. Do not count on harvest seed returns.
Common mistakes
- Using all Cotton Seed elsewhere; keep planting stock aside before starting.
- Assuming a fertilizer used for another crop also suits Cotton; check the plot display.
- Leaving output storage full; clear collected Cotton so the Granary has room.
When to stop or switch
Reduce or pause the plot when your Cotton stock is sufficient for current plans or another crop needs its space and inputs.
