At a Fertilizer Bucket in your base, with feces and bone powder ingredients collected from your established production and gathering sources.
Before you go
- Unlock Fertilizer under Crop Planting and build a Fertilizer Bucket.
- Collect feces from livestock or an Outhouse.
- Have Bone Powder or Phosphorous Powder and storage space for the finished fertilizer.
Farming steps
- Check the fertilizer requirement of the crop you plan to grow so you make the right type.
- Place or access a Fertilizer Bucket at your base and open its production options.
- Gather feces from livestock or an Outhouse; keep it separate from food and crafting stock.
- Collect Bone Powder or Phosphorous Powder from your available supplies.
- Select the Bone Powder Fertilizer recipe and provide the listed feces and powder ingredients.
- Take the completed fertilizer from the bucket and stock it with the crop supplies at the Granary or farm.
- Let the Granary worker tend the supplied plot, then collect harvested crops from Granary storage when capacity allows.
- Keep a reserve of powder for other crafting before committing the remainder to fertilizer.
- If several crops need different inputs, label or separate fertilizer stores to prevent stocking a plot with the wrong type.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the batch whenever feces and powder are available and the target crop needs Bone Powder Fertilizer; this is a renewable production loop, limited by ingredient supply and storage.
Common mistakes
