WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm Food Processor at a base or other grid with power and access to harvested fruit, vegetables, grain, or mushrooms.
Use a Food Processor’s Harvesting blueprint to convert harvested produce into seed. Keep one specimen aside before eating or processing the rest, then store the recovered seed for another planting cycle.
Before you go Food Processor with power. A harvested crop specimen of a supported produce type. Storage for the resulting seed. Harvest a crop and move its produce into accessible inventory. Reserve at least one specimen for seed recovery before using the crop for food or other processing. Open the Food Processor and select the Harvesting blueprint for the produce you are processing. Place the reserved specimen in the processor input and allow the recipe to complete. Collect the resulting seed from the processor output inventory. Move the seed to storage or take it to the Farm Plot for the next planting cycle. Use or process the remaining harvest only after preserving the seed supply you need. Farming tips Keep a small seed reserve separate from food stock so it is not consumed accidentally. Check the processor output after the cycle; seeds are a separate item from harvested produce. Repeat, collect and use Repeat seed recovery with future harvests when you need to expand or renew planting stock. Each cycle requires crop produce as input.
Common mistakes Eating or processing the final specimen first: reserve one for seed conversion before using the harvest. Looking for seed in the Farm Plot output: collect it from the Food Processor output inventory. Assuming the crop replants itself: retain and plant seed for the next cycle. When to stop or switch Stop converting when the stored seed stock is sufficient for the plots you intend to plant; save additional produce for food or other use.
