WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Open-world gathering nodes on a planet, located with the matching Crew Skill tracking filter.
Planetary harvesting produces crafting resources for your own recipes or for sale. Train a gathering skill, make its nodes visible on the map, and collect suitable nodes while moving through an accessible planet. Resource grade and yield depend on the node and skill conditions, so use the material actually received to decide whether to stay or find another region.
A trained gathering skill such as Archaeology, Bioanalysis, Scavenging, or Slicing.
Inventory space for collected materials.
A planet with accessible nodes for the material family you want.
Open the Crew Skills interface and identify the gathering skill trained on your character.
Enable the corresponding node-tracking filter on the map or minimap.
Travel to a planet where that skill’s resource nodes appear.
Follow visible node markers while questing or moving through the area.
Interact with eligible nodes to collect their materials.
Check inventory to confirm the resource family and grade received.
Move to a more suitable grade region if the returns do not fit your crafting plan.
Farming tips
Nodes can still yield resources outside your skill grade, but output varies; evaluate actual results instead of assuming a fixed haul.
Collect only materials tied to a craft or sale plan so inventory does not fill with unwanted grades.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat whenever nodes are available; harvesting is a permanent activity, though node presence and yield vary by planet and skill.
Common mistakes
Tracking the wrong node family; enable the filter matching your trained gathering skill.
Expecting every node to give the same grade or quantity; inspect each collected stack.
Leaving the planet with no use for the stock; route materials into a recipe or market plan.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have the planned material stock or node returns no longer suit the recipe grade you need; process materials through crafting or keep them for sale.
