WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Tungsten is found on Moderate- and Risky-threat planets; titanium is found on Risky- and Dangerous-threat planets.
Use threat level as your guide: tungsten becomes available before titanium, and each requires a planet where that ore can spawn. Mine only after the ship and character can reach and survive those worlds. Smelting turns the finds into bars for recipes and progression stations.
Armor, healing items, and hazard protection suited to the selected world.
A mining tool and access to a Furnace; an Industrial or Atomic Furnace is needed for titanium bars.
Check the navigation console for a world whose threat level matches the ore you need: Moderate or Risky for tungsten, Risky or Dangerous for titanium.
Confirm your gear is suitable for that planet before beaming down; higher-tier enemies deal more damage.
Enter a cave or mine a safe route underground, watching for colored ore veins in the surrounding rock.
Mine tungsten and titanium separately, prioritizing the material tied to the recipe or upgrade you are pursuing.
Return to the ship when inventory or supplies become limiting, then make another descent only if the target quantity is still short.
Smelt tungsten at a Furnace; process titanium at an Industrial Furnace or Atomic Furnace into bars.
Use the bars at the appropriate crafting station and retain any surplus needed for the next planned tier.
Farming tips
Threat level is a practical filter: early worlds will not provide these later-tier ores just because you dig deeper.
Choose one ore target per trip when inventory space is limited, so common stone and incidental loot do not crowd it out.
Repeat, collect and use
This is a repeatable mining farm with finite deposits per planet. Visit another matching-threat world when the current caves are depleted or the remaining supply is inconvenient to reach.
Common mistakes
Looking for titanium on Moderate worlds; move to Risky or Dangerous planets.
Taking on a higher-threat world without checking armor and healing supplies; prepare before landing.
Trying to smelt titanium in an unsuitable basic Furnace; use an Industrial or Atomic Furnace.
When to stop or switch
Stop once you have enough bars for the specific gear or station upgrades planned; continue to the next tier when the current material no longer blocks progression.
