Collect small fish and Fishing Points
Great Desert Oasis pond or Eidos 7 Clocktower Pond, once fishing access is available.
Before you go
- Speak with Clyde at the Great Desert Oasis to unlock fishing.
- Bring Small Shrimp bait and reach one of the listed ponds.
- Have access to Clyde’s shop for spending earned Fishing Points.
Farming steps
- Choose the Oasis pond or Clocktower Pond based on which location is currently accessible.
- Equip or select Small Shrimp bait for the small-fish target.
- Cast into the pond and complete the fishing interaction when a bite occurs.
- Check the Data Bank after each catch to confirm whether it registered a new fish.
- Continue until you have enough Fishing Points for the next useful Fishing Data purchase.
- Return to Clyde and buy the next relevant Data unlock.
- Change bait class or fishing goal after unlocking larger fish rather than repeating registered small catches without a collection target.
- Use the Data Bank as your stopping checklist; it shows whether a catch advanced species completion.
- Bank Fishing Points for an identified next Data unlock instead of spending them without a size-class goal.
Repeat, collect and use
Fishing can be repeated while you are pursuing missing species or earning points for Data. Catch outcomes are not guaranteed, and the collection is finite rather than an unlimited drop farm.
Common mistakes
- Using bait that does not match the target class: begin with Small Shrimp for the small-fish route.
- Failing to check registration: verify new species in the Data Bank after a catch.
- Fishing indefinitely after the needed entries are complete: move to the next bait class or pond.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the relevant small species are registered or you have enough Fishing Points for the next Data purchase; then switch to the unlocked size class.
