WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Diamond
Koppa Mining Site, entered through the Thermal Spires southwest of Delta Station; later Shale Outcrops and loose resources in deep biomes such as Crystal Caves.
Before you go
- Oxygen capacity suited to a cave excursion.
- Light and Scanner.
- Seaglide for the mine approach and return; a Prawn Suit with Drill Arm for large deposits encountered later.
Farming steps
- Reach the Thermal Spires southwest of Delta Island and locate the cave entrance to Koppa Mining Site.
- Leave the Seatruck outside; it does not fit through the entrance.
- Follow the mine passages while keeping track of the way back to the entrance.
- Break Shale Outcrops and collect any loose Diamonds you encounter.
- Scan useful fragments on the route, but keep the Diamond search focused on outcrops and loose material.
- Return to the vehicle before oxygen becomes critical and store the haul at base.
- On later deep expeditions, collect loose Diamonds or mine large deposits when your Prawn Suit is equipped.
- Carry enough oxygen and use a light so you can recognize branches on the return route.
- Perimeter Defense can help protect a Seatruck on exposed approaches when available.
Repeat, collect and use
You can revisit the mine for remaining outcrops, but each outcrop is a single break and its drop is not guaranteed. Later biome sweeps provide additional opportunities.
Common mistakes
- Assuming every Shale Outcrop contains Diamond: gather multiple outcrops and accept other mineral drops.
- Taking a Seatruck into the mine: leave it outside and swim through the entrance.
- Pushing farther into tunnels with little oxygen: turn back while the route remains safe to retrace.
When to stop or switch
End the run when oxygen or carrying capacity is low; return for deeper resources after your vehicle and depth access are ready.
