Before you go
- Knife for harvesting a clipping.
- Vehicle and oxygen preparation for the deeper route.
- Exterior Growbed for propagation.
- Fabricator for Synthetic Fibers.
Farming steps
- Prepare a route to the Tree Spires and identify a Ventgarden structure as your target.
- Approach the Ventgarden carefully and look for the Spiral Plant growth attached to it.
- Use the Knife to collect a Spiral Plant clipping.
- Return to base without spending the starter clipping on crafting if you want a renewable supply.
- Plant the clipping in an Exterior Growbed.
- Harvest further clippings from the cultivated plant when Synthetic Fibers are needed.
- Fabricate the harvested material into Synthetic Fibers and preserve the crop for the next batch.
- A beacon near the target can make a later visit easier if you need more wild material.
- Keep a spare clipping planted rather than relying on repeated predator-area trips.
Repeat, collect and use
A wild plant provides a limited harvest, while a planted clipping establishes a recurring source. The initial Ventgarden trip is not required for every crafting batch once the farm is established.
Common mistakes
- Treating the clipping as food: it is used for crafting Synthetic Fibers.
- Using the only clipping immediately: plant it first if you want ongoing supply.
- Approaching a Ventgarden without a return plan: prepare vehicle depth and oxygen before the trip.
When to stop or switch
Leave the biome after securing a starter clipping; switch to the growbed for routine production and return only if the farm needs re-establishing.
