Where to farm
Rift of Worlds > Rift Raid; apply collected gems through the rune management interface.
Enchanted Gems let you replace a rune subproperty, making them most useful when you already own a strong rune that deserves a targeted improvement. Rift Raid rewards include Enchanted Gems, and the rune and gem must satisfy the compatibility conditions shown in the game. Plan the use before spending: identify a rune that supports a lasting build, check which compatible gem can address its unwanted subproperty, and review the replacement preview. A gem is consumed when applied, so it is a limited upgrade for that particular rune. The repeatable part is earning more raid rewards and sorting the gems you collect; each individual gem can only be used once. Keep the improved rune only if it still fits the build, and return to the raid when another worthwhile rune needs attention.
Unlock Rift Raid and have access to a team for the encounter.
Have a valuable rune with a subproperty you want to replace.
Have an Enchanted Gem the in-game rune interface marks as compatible.
Review equipped and stored runes and select a strong piece that supports a build you expect to keep.
Enter Rift Raid with your available team and complete the encounter.
Collect the raid rewards and inspect any Enchanted Gems obtained.
Sort the gems by their displayed type and the rune compatibility options in game.
Open the selected rune in rune management and choose a compatible Enchanted Gem.
Read the replacement preview and check that the proposed property fits the rune’s role.
Apply the gem, inspect the updated rune, and use it in the build if it remains an upgrade.
Farming tips
Save gems for runes you expect to keep; temporary gear can be replaced before the gem’s benefit matters.
Use the in-game preview to confirm both compatibility and the proposed replacement before committing.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat Rift Raid while you want additional Enchanted Gems; inspect the rewards after each clear. The raid farm is ongoing, but each gem is a one-use item consumed when applied.
Common mistakes
Using a gem on a rune likely to be replaced; prioritize a strong piece with a durable role in a build.
Assuming any gem matches any rune; check the compatibility displayed by the rune interface.
Confirming without evaluating the replacement; review the preview and proceed only if it helps the intended build.
When to stop or switch
Pause gem use when your priority runes have suitable subproperties or you have no strong rune worth refining. Resume after acquiring gear that merits a targeted change.
