Before you go
- A light source and weapon for cave or camp encounters.
- Inventory capacity for boards, coins, cloth, alcohol, watches, and other finds.
- Access to the inventory crafting mat and the explosive recipe.
Farming steps
- Choose a surface or cave route with containers you can search safely.
- Open suitcases and supply boxes, checking for circuit boards, coins, cloth, alcohol, watches, and other useful components.
- Loot camp containers only when you have a safe approach and retreat path.
- Collect cave supplies when they lie along a planned expedition rather than extending a trip without preparation.
- At the inventory mat, use gathered components to craft explosives when the recipe is available.
- Pack only the explosives needed for the next route and leave remaining materials stored in inventory.
- Repeat searches at other unopened containers when more components are required.
- Use explosive items in open spaces with room to retreat, away from structures you want to preserve.
- Leave inventory room before a cache run so varied supplies are not wasted or left behind.
Repeat, collect and use
Loot from opened suitcases is limited; further materials come from other unsearched containers and available cave or camp supplies.
Common mistakes
- Assuming one cache contains every component: search across multiple loot sources.
- Entering a hostile camp without a retreat plan: approach with a weapon and room to withdraw.
- Using explosives near your own structures or in cramped space: move to a clear area first.
When to stop or switch
Stop scavenging once you can craft and carry what the next expedition needs, or when the planned containers are exhausted.
