Before you go
- Reach the cave coordinates and carry oxygen and water.
- Advance Heat terraforming to the cited 100 nK melt point.
- Bring inventory space for Osmium and other cave finds.
Farming steps
- Travel to 396:144:992 and locate the Cliffs Ice Cave entrance.
- Check the Heat terraforming value before making a dedicated trip; the ice blocks access until it melts.
- Continue Heat progress if the entrance remains frozen.
- Return once the barrier has opened and enter the cave.
- Collect the accessible Osmium chunks by hand.
- Carry the ore back to base and store it for recipes or extractor construction.
- The Cliffs cave is one named Osmium source; a separate Prime cave is reported north of the landing area near 404:142:996.
- Do not confuse the cave entrance coordinates with a guarantee that every visit yields a particular amount of loose ore.
Repeat, collect and use
You can revisit to collect any remaining accessible chunks, but hand-collected cave pieces are finite. The cave itself remains useful as a location for a T2 extractor when eligible.
