A resource outpost gives access to local deposits and can send materials home through rift transport. It is useful when the main base cannot supply a needed resource.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
A campaign mission location reachable through the map and rift travel, with a confirmed resource deposit.
Build the outpost around a confirmed target rather than treating it as a general expansion. Its practical loop is to land, identify the resource, power and protect extraction, then establish transport and check that the base receives the output.
Enough construction materials for a compact mining and power setup.
Defenses appropriate to the exposed site.
Identify the resource your main base currently lacks.
Choose an accessible mission location that shows or reveals that resource.
Land and explore before placing permanent production buildings.
Select a compact area close to the confirmed deposit for the outpost operation.
Build the matching mine, local power, and storage or logistics connection.
Place defenses around the machinery and the approach to the site.
Activate the rift transport link when the local operation can run.
Check the main base stockpile to confirm delivery.
Farming tips
Build only the production footprint needed for the target resource before expanding the settlement.
Keep defenses close enough to cover the mine and power source together.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the outpost process for a different resource or another deposit. Each individual mineral patch is finite, so an outpost may need relocating or replacing.
Common mistakes
Choosing a destination based only on its biome label: confirm the deposit in the field.
Opening more terrain before the first mine is protected: defend the working core first.
Assuming an outpost sends resources automatically: verify its transport link and the receiving stockpile.
When to stop or switch
Stop expanding once the required material arrives at the main base at a useful rate; leave, relocate, or dismantle the site when its deposit is exhausted.
