- A revealed deposit with enough room for valid placement.
Farming steps
- Reveal the deposit and identify its resource type.
- Select the corresponding mine from the build menu.
- Move the placement preview across the node until valid coverage is indicated.
- Place the mine at the confirmed location.
- Connect it to power and the local resource network.
- Inspect the building status to ensure it is working.
- Check the deposit and stockpile over time to decide whether another source is needed.
- Make the placement decision from the preview, not from visual proximity alone.
- Keep the mine inside protected coverage if possible, especially in an outpost.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat placement for each separate deposit you want to work. A mine can operate only while its finite deposit remains available.
Common mistakes
- Placing beside rather than over the resource: reposition until the game marks placement valid.
