WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Ore Patch Assessment

A visible mineral deposit in a buildable area of a base or mission map.

Before you go

Farming steps

  1. Explore the area until the deposit is fully visible.
  2. Inspect its label and identify the resource type.
  3. Check the mine’s placement indicator over the deposit before committing construction.
  4. Place one matching mine at a valid position.
  5. Connect power and the local resource network.
  6. Confirm the mine is active and observe its output and deposit status.
  7. Compare the supply with your current build requirement before adding more infrastructure.

Repeat, collect and use

Assess each new deposit before mining it. Assessment can be repeated, but any extracted ore deposit is finite.

Common mistakes

  • Building from a vague map impression: inspect the resource label in the field.
  • Assuming multiple covered tiles make a patch last longer at a fixed rate: plan around the actual deposit status.
  • Adding duplicate mines before checking the first output: verify production and demand first.

When to stop or switch

Stop assessment once you know the resource, valid placement, and whether it can meet the planned need; then mine it or move on.
