Salvage gear for crafting fragments

Turn unwanted equipment into fragments for Friedrich’s Slormeline and Slormandrite crafting or Rick’s Slormite crafting.

PC / Global, current Steam build with Great Forge
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

In-game equipment salvage and crafting interfaces; Friedrich handles Slormelines and Slormandrites, while Rick handles Slormites.

Salvaging unwanted equipment can produce fragments that feed crafting. Those fragments can be taken to Friedrich to craft Slormelines or Slormandrites, or to Rick Manalan for Slormites. This provides a way to turn spare drops into materials for reforging or reinforcement, but do not assume a particular dismantling location or that gear rarity must match a chosen material tier. Check the available in-game salvage and crafting interfaces to see what your item produces and what each recipe requires. Before salvaging, decide whether the item is better kept or sold to Jemma for Goldus, and preserve equipment you might still use.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Have unwanted equipment you are willing to consume.
  • Identify whether your goal is Slormeline, Slormandrite, or Slormite material.
  • Access the appropriate crafting function and inspect its current recipe.
  1. Choose a crafting or reinforcement goal before processing spare gear.
  2. Review equipment and set aside pieces you may still use or sell for Goldus.
  3. Use the available in-game salvage function on equipment you are willing to consume.
  4. Check the fragments produced and their rarity in your inventory.
  5. Take fragments to Friedrich for Slormelines or Slormandrites, or Rick for Slormites.
  6. Use the crafted material in the matching Blacksmith or reinforcement system.
  7. Repeat with further spare equipment if you still need fragments.

Farming tips

  • Let the game’s salvage and recipe displays guide which fragments you have and what they can craft.
  • Sell items to Jemma when Goldus is more urgent than crafting materials.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable as spare equipment becomes available. Salvaging consumes the item; the resulting fragments depend on the item and game system.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming salvage occurs at a particular NPC or interface is unsupported; use the option available in game.
  • Assuming rarity-matched gear guarantees a specific fragment tier can mislead planning; verify the result and recipe.
  • Salvaging a useful item destroys it; sort gear before processing.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have enough fragments for the planned crafting goal, or sell additional spare items if Goldus is more valuable.
