Choose challenges for their supported effects, without expecting a Slorm-specific option.
Continue wave by wave while your build can survive.
Check your condition and the War Chest before committing to further waves.
Claim the War Chest between waves when you are ready to end the expedition.
Use the collected Slorm on the skills or Ancestral progression you have prioritized.

Claiming the War Chest ends the Forge run, so treat it as a deliberate exit decision.
